What's this all about?
For the first few weeks the posts will be focused on my prep to begin a new strength program. Recovering from the shoulder injury I had during the Open I'm almost back to where I can lift things. Most of the pain is gone and it has been a long road to recovery but now it's time to focus on getting back some of what I lost over the last few months. For now I'll be doing lots of mobility work to address some issues, traditional CrossFit workouts to build up conditioning and test my limits, rehab exercises, and at least one run a week to get better there. In July once I get the clear to start pressing I'll be starting the One Man One Barbell program from Jerred at End of 3 Fitness. I'll also be doing some testing before so that I have accurate numbers when I start the first cycle of the program. This page will follow my progress with numbers to show how I'm doing with this new strength programming. It will follow the four lifts I'll be doing, the conditioning that goes along with it, my plans for recovery and anything else that is a part of this experiment. At the end of the first cycle a bit of evaluation and then move forward from there. Summertime for a teacher means that I should have plenty of time in the gym to get in and do the work and track it all, with pictures and video. I'm almost done with the injury recovery, now it's time to get back on the horse and get back to work.
