This is the first week of summer school and while I didn't get called into work today I took the opportunity to have a little brother time.  First me and the baby brother went out to kick the Rugby balls around a bit.  I played for a few years, and he plays for his school team.  I have to say that I was really rusty, but towards the end it started to feel a little better.  I need to find some time to play some more, maybe I can find a team up here and get out on the pitch regularly.  After coming home and dropping him off it was time to man up and go into CrossFit DNA for the WOD.  Fran, why oh why did it have to be Fran.  Warmup was the 10 minute squat test, which really showed how bad my mobility is right now.  Then Strength was Hang Power Cleans, 3-3-3-1-1-1 I warmed up and went for sets at 145-155-175-195-215-225. Not bad, and my shoulder actually felt good with them.  Afterwards it was time to do Fran.  Still no pull ups but I did do the Thrusters.  Scaled the weight down to 75lbs, and did the ring row sub.  Finished sub 5 minutes with a 4:42 time.  Pretty happy overall.  Soon I'll be back and ready to take on things normally again.  After finishing the WOD I stuck around and did another round of the squat test.  Not much better but getting better everyday.
 
Day 2 of the second week of prep is in the books.  Monday's WOD had to be changed due to the storm that made things interesting.  So 200 Situps for time it was, 9:38 not my best, but not horrible either.  I did get a warmup in before the rain hit so a short run and some stretching.  Mobilized a bit afterwards and called it a night.  Tuesday was a trip to Crossfit DNA for the normal programming.   15 Min to do a max box jump, I hit a 40" and then 3rds 400M run and 50 KBS @1.5 a penalty for each break.  I was the first done at 12:42 doing Russian Swings because of my shoulder.   1 penalty for stopping in the third round.  Overall a good day, getting out in the 90F heat to do the work was good too.  I'm starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere with this.  I'm getting the next exam done tomorrow and I'll know where I stand with recovery.  Wondering how long till I get to start the new strength programming.
 
Rest Day Wk 1 of prep.

Three WOD's into the week and I feel like someone beat me.  Thankfully today is a rest day to get this thing started and to make plans for the programming.  Shoulder is feeling stronger and I'm happy to be back into the swing of doing a WOD most days.  Currently I'm planning on a four plus run template for the next couple weeks.  Tonight I'll work on mobility.  My main issue - Ankles, anyone that has seen me clean or front squat knows that right away.
